Michael Bragdon, Pastor

Pastor Bragdon has been ministering at Gateway Baptist Church since July, 2016.  A native of Northern Indiana, he is currently enrolled in an Arts in Religion degree program through Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.  He came to us from Calvary Baptist Church of Athens, TX where he served for 13 years. He also served as a missionary in Japan from 1982 to 1995, church planter in the Chicago land area and pastored in central Kentucky. 

He and his wife, Resa, have been married since 1980 and have five children: Luke & wife Alison, Nathan, Autumn & husband Ryan Myers, Chloe & husband Brent Barber, and Micah & wife Megan. Mike & Resa are also thrilled to be the grandparents of Luke & Alison’s son Gabriel, daughters, Leah and Shiloh as well as Chloe and Brent’s daughter, Evelyn & son, Faron.

Pastor Bragdon is committed by conviction to the authority of the Holy Scriptures. His messages and lessons are Bible based, with an emphasis on scriptural exposition. His heartbeat is that of a pastor. He loves his church and desires to see growth but not at a sacrifice of its close-knit family atmosphere and its passion for serving people.
