God's Will Is Not Hidden

5-Day Bible Reading Plan and Devotional  Guide

Based on the Themes of God's Will, Salvation, and Faithful Living

Day 1: The Will of God Is Not Hidden From You

Reading: Deuteronomy 30:11-14
Devotional:  Many people live as though God's will is a mystery buried somewhere beyond their reach. But Scripture declares otherwise. God does not hide his purposes from his people. He places his word near you, in your heart and in your mouth, so that you may act on it.  The problem is rarely that God has concealed his will. More often, the honest answer is that we have not sought it with sincerity. Today, commit to approaching God's word not as a puzzle to be solved but as a gift already given. His direction for your life is closer than you think!
Reflection Questions:
In what areas of your life have you treated God's will as unknowable?
  • What practical step can you take today to engage more consistently with Scripture?

  • Day 2: He Came to You

Reading: John 1:1-14
Devotional: The distance between God and mankind was not closed by human effort or religious striving. God himself crossed it. He did not wait for humanity to ascend to him. He descended to us. The Word became flesh and dwelled among us. This is the great reversal of every human religious instinct. We assume we must climb toward God. Scripture reveals that God came down to us. Salvation was not placed on a distant shelf requiring extraordinary effort to reach. It was delivered personally, wrapped in human flesh, born in a manger, and offered freely. You did not find him. He came to you.
Reflection Questions:
  • How does understanding that God pursued you change the way you relate to him?
  • Is there someone in your life who needs to hear that God has already come near to them?

Day 3: Chosen to Bear Fruit

Reading: John 15:12-17
The Christian life is not a passive one. God has chosen and ordained his people to go and bear fruit. This is not a burden imposed on reluctant servants but a purpose given to beloved children. When you align your life with this calling, walking with God in his mission to reach the lost, something remarkable happens. Prayer becomes more effective, peace becomes more present, and blessing becomes more evident. God designed the abundant life to flow through a life of purpose. You were not saved simply to wait for heaven. You were saved to bring others along with you on the journey.
Reflection Questions:
  • What does bearing fruit look like in your specific relationships and circumstances?
  • Are there people in your life that you have been praying for , but have not yet spoken to directly about Christ?

Day 4: Choose Life

Reading: Deuteronomy 30:15-20
Devotional: God sets before every person a clear choice: life or death, blessing or curse. He does not make the decision for anyone, but he does make the right choice unmistakably clear. He even tells us which one to choose. This is the character of a God who loves his creation. He does not manipulate or coerce, but he pleads. He urges. He says plainly, choose life. Every day presents smaller versions of this same choice. Will you walk in his ways or turn aside? Will you lean on his word or trust your own understanding? The choice placed before Israel is placed before you today.
Reflection Questions:
  • Where in your daily routine are you consistently choosing something other than what God's word directs?
  • What would it look like to actively choose life in one specific area this week?

Day 5: The Whole Duty of Man

Reading: Ecclesiastes 12:9-14
Devotional: After exploring the full breadth of human experience, wisdom, pleasure, labor, and the passage of time, Solomon arrives at a conclusion that is strikingly simple. Fear God! Keep his commandments. This is the whole duty of man. Not a complicated theological system. Not a checklist of religious achievements. Just a reverent, obedient relationship with the God who made you and knows you fully. The simplicity of this conclusion is not a reduction of faith but a clarification of it. All of Christian living, all of worship, all of service, flows from this foundation. When life feels overwhelming, return to the bottom line. Fear God. Follow him.
Reflection Questions:
  • How does simplifying your spiritual focus to fearing God and keeping his commandments bring clarity to your current season of life?
  • What is one commandment or principle from Scripture that you know God is calling you to take more seriously right now?
